Also called pork fillet, pork steak or Gentleman’s Cut, pork tenderloin is a long, thin cut of pork from the inside of the carcass. Cook it as a whole tenderloin or cut it across the grain into the tenderloin steaks similar to beef filet mignon.

Pork tenderloin is one of those dinners that’s impressive enough for special occasions but easy and quick enough for a weeknight dinner. There are several ways to prepare pork tenderloin including grilling, roasting and panfrying. You can even cook it in your slow cooker. Similar to chicken breast – it’s a lean, tender cut of meat and when cooked just right, it’s juicy and succulent. It is also easy to overcook, and overcooked tenderloin = dry and bland.
